What's Happening In My Head

This week has been very stressful to me. I have been working everyday. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, I just want a break. I have homework to do for school. And speaking of school, that brings on a whole different issue. I am only in one class and I already feel like I am behind. I'm struggling to figure out what I want to do in school or if school is even for me. Right now I feel like school isn't for me. It just stresses me out too much and I have no motivation to do any of my work or go to class. Every time I get out of class, I try to do my work, but every time I pull out my laptop, I just want to cry. I don't have any idea of what could be wrong though. I also feel like I am very lost in the class. Talk about a great start to college. I sometimes wish college wasn't required for almost every career. At least the careers that make the most money. College doesn't even teach you what is needed to know for that job. Most of the stuff needed for a job is ta...

After Innocence

Image
Was there a specific scene that got to you? Describe and explain how it moved you. The specific scene that got to me was in the very beginning of the documentary, this guy talked about how this girl lying about him raping her changed his life forever. This man said he couldn’t sleep at night and he couldn’t trust women the same ever again. The girl who claimed to have been raped by this man was a complete stranger to the man, he had never met her in his life. This really got to me because I see a bunch of stuff on social media of these stars getting in trouble for raping minors, but a lot of these minors either lied about their age to the celebrity or lied about it all together. These celebrities will probably be in jail for the rest of their life just because someone lied.  What surprised you? Why do you think it caught you off guard? Something that surprised me in this documentary was why they didn’t test for DNA during the trials. The judges will allow for testing for DNA...

My Thoughts on "Snowy the Turtle"

Image
Snowy is a short film documentary released in 2020. I thought this documentary was very interesting. At the beginning of the film, it shows the three sons of Larry talking about Snowy. They really had nothing to say about him, as they didn't even take care of him.  The only person that took care of Snowy was Larry and he didn't even take care of him that well. Snowy was not properly taken care of. His tank was never properly cleaned and he didn't eat properly.  Poor Snowy was very neglected.     Towards the middle of the film, Snowy was taken to the vet, that's when Larry was told Snowy's beak was cut off. The fact that the family didn't even know his beak was cut off shows how much Snowy was neglected. It really bothers me that he was never was taken of properly. Why get a pet if you don't know how to take care of it. It wasn't until the end of the documentary that they figured out Snowy was depressed. They've had Snowy for years and just figured ...

My Favorite Picture

Image
This is my favorite picture of myself currently. This picture is from when I graduated high school in May 2021. It is my current favorite because I think I look pretty in it.  I do not like many of the pictures I have taken of me, so when I get a good one, I use it everywhere. It just looks really nice to me because I got to get all dressed up and the lighting just looks really nice. This picture also means a lot to me. It means a lot because it is from a big milestone in my life. I am sure there will be more favorites in my future.  I will now be telling you some interesting things about myself. I went to Lake Central High School. I live with my parents and my sister. I have a dog named A.J. He is a Pekingese and is 9 years old. I danced for 16 years and 4 of the years I was dancing competitively. The styles of dance that I did was tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and modern.  Some other things I like to do in my free time is paint. The rest...
